HSE Advisor – Data Centre – Amsterdam

We are currently partnering with a Fit-out contractor with proven success across Europe on Data Centre Projects, Roofing contracts and many more. With capabilities and expertise across the whole construction sector they are looking to expand their ever-growing team with an experienced HSE Advisor in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Responsibilities

•    Risk Assessments and Safety Plans: The H&S officer conducts detailed risk assessments for the project, identifying potential hazards related to the fit-out works. They then develop and implement safety plans to minimise these risks, ensuring that safety measures are in place before work begins.
•    Ensuring Compliance with Health & Safety Regulations: They ensure that all activities on the project site comply with local, regional, and national health and safety regulations. This includes monitoring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), tools, and machinery according to safety standards.
•    Conducting Safety Inspections and Audits: Regular site inspections and audits are conducted to identify any safety concerns. The officer ensures that safety procedures are being followed, documents any non-compliance, and works with the team to resolve issues.
•    Training and Induction for Workers: The officer is responsible for providing safety inductions for new workers and regular safety training sessions for all staff. This ensures that everyone on site understands the safety protocols, emergency procedures, and how to handle hazardous materials or equipment.
•    Incident Reporting and Investigation: In the event of any accidents or near-misses, the H&S officer ensures proper reporting and documentation. They investigate the cause of incidents and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Requirements

Must have relevant HSE Certifications i.e. NEBOSH, Degree qualification etc.
Must have 3+ years in a similar role working on large-scale construction or Fit-Out projects (preferably Data Centres)
Must be based within a commutable distance of Amsterdam

Benefits

€65,000 per annum + Package
